Park. For her mitzvah project, she has
enjoyed planting and packaging food
for Forgotten Harvest and Gleaners.

Torah as a bar mitz-
vah on Saturday, Oct.
19, at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek in
Southfield. He is the
son of Sharon
Sandberg and Marc
Tarnopol. Sharing in the celebration
will be siblings Rebecca, Craig and
Liana. Proud grandparents are Arlene
and Edwin Tarnopol, and Hershel
Sandberg and Dorothy Superstine
Sandberg. Drew is also the grandson of
the late Lois Sandberg.
Drew attends Hillel Day School of
Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington
Hills. His favorite mitzvah projects
included volunteering at Humane
Society of Huron Valley and Forgotten
Harvest.

of Flint Township celebrated their
62nd anniversary at a family din-
ner. Ben Kaufman married Estelle Creed
on Oct. 7, 1951, in Toronto, Canada. Dr.
Kaufman was an orthodontist for 50 years,
a Mason and a Shriner. The couple has four
children: Therese and David Leyton, Joel
and Nancy Kaufman, Dr. Sheryl Weissman,
and Alisa and David Raider; 11 grandchil-
dren and one great-granddaughter.

r. David and Gail Amster of
West Bloomfield are delighted
to announce the engagement of
their daughter Stephaine to Klint Kirshman,
son of Elaine Kirshman of Plymouth.
Stephanie earned her master's degree in
education. She is teaching fifth grade in
the Wayne-Westland Community School
District.
Klint is the food and beverage manager
for a Live Nation company in Detroit.
A June wedding is planned at the Troy
Marriot.
