Dr. Albert Martin Krochmal, son

a 10-day honeymoon trip to Chi-

On Monday, nt 1:30 p. m., the
Women's Auxiliary of the Jew-
ish Home for Aged, of which
Mrs. M. J. Greenberg is presi-
dent, will hold its annual mem-
bership tea in the Home, 11501
Petoskey. Entertainment will be
in the form of a bingo party.
Prizes will be selected from
articles produced in occupational
therapy work by aged residents.

At the last council meeting of
the Pioneer Women's Organiza-
tion, the following officers were
elected: Mesdames M. Michlin,
executive chairman; Emma Sch-
reier, recording and correspond-
ing secretary; Reba Coleman,

treasurer.
During the past week, all
Pioneer Women's groups met
with Yehudith Simchonit, Pales-

BNAI DAVID SISTERHOOD
Bnai David Sisterhood is plan-
ning a Thanksgiving games party
and donor luncheon. The former
will be held Nov. 9 at the syna-
gogue social hall. Servicemen
will be admitted free. The donor
luncheon will be held at the Fort
Wayne Hotel, Nov. 17. Proceeds
will be used for the upkeep of
the Bnai David Sunday School.
Mrs. Cutler, head of the Red
Cross unit, appeals for volunteers
to meet with the unit from 1 to
to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays in the Bnai

is the announcement made this week by Mrs. 11. Ziff of Minneapolis,
Minn, of the engageinent of her daughter, Nell, to Rabbi Maurice Pe-
karsky, director of the Hillel Foundation at Northwestern Univer-
sity, Evanston, Ill. Miss Ziff is a former national president of Junior
Hadassah. Rabbi Pekarsky, son of Mr. and Mrs. L IL Pekarsky of
Grand Rapids, is a former national president of Avukah. He was the
organizer of Avukah at the University of Michigan. He is a brother
of Herman Pekarsky, administrative assistant of the Jewish Welfare
Federation of Detroit.
Mrs. Aaron D. Markson Of W. Euclid Ave. is visiting with her
daughter and son-in-law, Rabbi and Mrs. M. V. Dembovitz, in Forest
Hills, Long Island, N. Y.
Miss Annette Share, staff social worker with the American Red
Cross, has been transferred from Camp Crowder, Mo., to Chanute

American Red Cross. returned on Saturday to his post in San Fran-

Lieut. Amson Tabor of the U. S. Army Air Service and Mrs.
Tabor will arrive on Friday from Orlando, Fla., for a short visit.

Lieut. Samuel Gingold, U. S. Army Medical Corps, has been
transferred to Camp Hood, Texas. Mrs, Gingold (Ruth Ehrlich) ac-

Ave. and are now residing at the Belcrest Hotel.
Mrs. Edward Krause of Calvert Ave. has left for Montreal to
spend a few weeks with her parents.
Jerry Krause, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Krause of Calvert
Ave., has resumed his studies at the University of Michigan.
Mrs. Abraham Danzig of Wyandotte will address the Lawndale
Junior Chapter of Mizrachi Women at the Tel Aviv Restaurant in
Chicago. Oct 21. She will also address the luncheon of the South
Shore Mizrachi Women on Oct. 22.
Florence Unrot was honored on Oct. 10 on the occasion of her
16th birthday, at a party at Club Trocadero.
Among the students who returned to Hebrew Union College,
Cincinnati, to resume their studies, is Joseph M. Strauss, B. A, of
Pontiac, Mich., a senior in the collegiate department.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Friedman of 1933 Leslie Ave. will cele-
brate their silver wedding anniversary Sunday, Oct. 18. with a
reception from 4 to 10 p. m. at their home. At this time they will
