Lawsuit Against ePrize
Investors Is Dismissed
A lawsuit filed against major investors in
ePrize, including Josh Linkner, managing
partner of the Detroit Venture Partners,
and Dan Gilbert, Quicken founder and
CEO, was dismissed by an Oakland
County Circuit judge last week, the
Detroit Free Press reports.
In a statement, Linkner said: "We are
pleased but not surprised the court ruled
in favor of a full dismissal of this merit-
less and frivolous lawsuit. Justice was
served:'

The suit was filed by former employee-
stockholders who claimed that a recapi-
talization of ePrize's ownership in 2007
and 2009 diluted their ownership stake
so much that they received no proceeds
from the company's sale in 2012.
The judge dismissed the suit based on
a defense motion regarding the timeliness
of the filing, as the damages plaintiffs
were claiming took place more than three
years before the suit was filed earlier this
year.
The attorney for the plaintiffs said the
decision would be appealed.
