event planning, the marketing and the
public relations for the event, which
raised more than $100,000 for Gleaners
Community Food Bank of Southeastern
Michigan, Detroit PAL and Children's
Hospital of Michigan Foundation.
"She was a pleasure to work with
and was able to take our idea and con-
cept and help it come to fruition," said
Daniel Stillman, Compass co-principal
with Jordan Dumars. "It went beyond
our expectations:'
It was a sell-out weeks before the
actual date, said Tiffani Langford,
manager of communications and donor
relations at the Children's Hospital of
Michigan Foundation. "That just does
not happen with a first-time event of
this caliber. It was the perfect mix of

philanthropy and entertainment"
Fisher said AFP handles clients and
events of all sizes, "as long as they have
a tie to Detroit, a tie to the community
and they want to make a difference:'
She also consults with clients to
rework and refresh their messaging to
connect to a younger generation.
"Whether that is through events, tar-
geted branding, reforming messaging,
oftentimes we can take something the
company is already doing and tweak it:'
she said. "You'd be so surprised how a
little change in marketing can perk up
the ears of the next generation:'

Klinger adds that MPWN helps to
foster a supportive atmosphere because

ties throughout the year. "This expo
is really the pinnacle of that culture

Stacey Francis, a chiropractor and
nutritionist at Specific Wellness, said
she chose to attend the expo because of
the group Buffalin brings to the table.
"These people are just phenomenal, and
I love mingling with them — even if
no one showed up for the expo, I would
love to go and learn from them:' she
said.
Frances, who's been a member of
MPWN for 10 years, is most excited to
know who her neighbors will be this
year. "It's always fun to get to know
them and everybody else at the expo:'
The expo also connects nonprofits
with the network.
"We run a successful expo, and now
we're opening it up as a fundraiser that
