Born in Detroit to Charlie and Ida Levine, she attended Central High School and University of Detroit. She became active in Jewish War Veterans Bale Post Ladies Auxiliary National Council of Jewish Women, Ventura's Community Memorial Hospital Foundation and Ventura Chamber Music Festival. Mrs. Bale worked full time to age 85 in the electric motor industry until moving to California in 1981; then she became an award-winning advertising account executive at the Ventura County Star. She was an adoring "Nana" to grand- children, Erin (Kristian) Nelson, Zachary Bale, Charlie Jones, Shirah Bale, and Ari and Yafa Bale. She is also survived by her children, Ron (Jan), Deni Jones (Ken), David (Janie), and Andy (Snooky Bellomo); and by her sister, Sharon Trigueiro. She received the Women's League for Conservative Judaism "Woman of Achievement Leadership Award" in 2001. In Tulsa, she became active with Congregation B'nai Emunah and its sisterhood and was a volunteer with the Altmont Bakery Project.
