GERTRUDE
"TRUDY" BALE, 90,
died Oct 2, 2013, in
Ventura, Calif.
Born in Detroit
to Charlie and Ida
Levine, she attended
Central High School
and University of
Detroit. She became
active in Jewish War
Veterans Bale Post Ladies Auxiliary
National Council of Jewish Women,
Ventura's Community Memorial Hospital
Foundation and Ventura Chamber Music
Festival. Mrs. Bale worked full time to
age 85 in the electric motor industry until
moving to California in 1981; then she
became an award-winning advertising
account executive at the Ventura County

Star.
She was an adoring "Nana" to grand-
children, Erin (Kristian) Nelson, Zachary
Bale, Charlie Jones, Shirah Bale, and
Ari and Yafa Bale. She is also survived
by her children, Ron (Jan), Deni Jones
(Ken), David (Janie), and Andy (Snooky
Bellomo); and by her sister, Sharon
Trigueiro.
Mrs. Bale was predeceased by her hus-
band, Joseph Bale; and her sister, Esther
Gilmore.

Ventura, Calif.

EMILY "MICKI" BERNSTEIN, 95, of
Glencoe, Ill., died Oct. 6, 2013.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra
Bernstein-Siegel of Bloomfield Hills;
grandchildren, Aaron Siegel and Samuel
Siegel.
Mrs. Bernstein was the beloved wife of
the late Joseph Bernstein.
Interment was in Chicago. Donations
may be made to Eisenhower Dance,
24901 Northwestern Hwy, Suite 312,
Southfield, MI 48075; or to a charity of
one's choice. This announcement was
placed at the request of the family by Ira

68, of Oak Park, died

She is survived by
her husband of 48

Farmington Hills, Ella
and David Maryakhin; brother and sister-
in-law, Ilya and Ada Slusarenko of Berlin,
Germany; grandchildren, Mark Zaguskin,

Danna Maryakhin; sister-in-law, Maria
Tashlitsky; nieces and nephews, Yefim
Tashlitsky, Semen Tashlitsky, Yulia
Slusarenko, Olga Slusarenko. She is also

survived by Inna Zaguskin.
Mrs. Chervoni was the sister-in-law of
the late Michael Tashlitsky.

Adat Shalom Memorial Park in Livonia.

DR. JACK
FELDMAN, 92, of
Delray Beach, Fla.,
died Sept. 30, 2013.
He is survived by
his wife, Lorraine
Feldman; sons and
daughters-in-law,

Dr. Sanford and Doris Feldman, and
Dr. Bradley Goodman and Caroline
Clark; daughters and sons-in-law, Evelyn

Jeffrey, Emily, Melanie and Sandra
Feldman, Michael Grossman, Sarena and

Lisa Goodman.
Dr. Feldman was the beloved husband
of the late Wanda Kay Feldman; the cher-
ished father of the late Stephanie Aleong;
the dear brother of the late Anita Gray,
the late Lillian Bell and the late Gwynne
Piersante.
Interment was at Adat Shalom

ETHEL BOONE FITZERMAN, 89, of
Tulsa, Okla., formerly of Farmington
Hills, died Oct. 4, 2013.
A member of Women's American
ORT, Mrs. Fitzerman also belonged
to Congregation Beth Shalom in Oak
Park and was active in its sisterhood.
She received the Women's League for
Conservative Judaism "Woman of
Achievement Leadership Award" in 2001.
In Tulsa, she became active with
Congregation B'nai Emunah and its
sisterhood and was a volunteer with the
Altmont Bakery Project.
She is survived by her sons and
daughters-in-law, Rabbi Marc Boone
Fitzerman and Alice Blue of Tulsa, Todd
Boone Fitzerman and Linda Fitzerman of
Dallas; grandchildren, Micah Nathaniel
Fitzerman-Blue and Liba Wenig
Rubenstein, Nina Rebecca Fitzerman-
Blue, Pamela Robyn and Ian Cohen, and
Bradley Howard Fitzerman; great-grand-
son, Julian Cohen.
Ethel was the beloved wife for 55 years
of the late William Fitzerman.
Interment was at Hebrew Memorial
