rea synagogues celebrated
Sukkot in many ways,
from having families
decorate the shul sukkah to having
major blowouts.
At Temple Beth El in Bloomfield
Township, families gathered after
religious school to decorate the suk-
kah and enjoy a pizza lunch. The
annual event gives parents and chil-
dren a chance to show their creativ-
ity while working together.
Youngsters at Tot Shabbat had
Shabbat in the sukkah, and religious
school students enjoyed their annual
"lulav shakes" in the sukkah.
At The Shul in West Bloomfield,
participants enjoyed a Sukkah carni-
val with pony rides, a moon bounce,
lunch in the sukkah and a dazzling
magician. More than 200 people were
on hand to enjoy the holiday.
