Michaela Beth Fishman will chant from the Torah as she celebrates her bat mitzvah on Friday, Sept. 6, at Temple Shir Shalom in West Fishman Bloomfield. She is the daughter of Josi Ryke and Brian Fishman and the sis- ter of Eliana. Her proud grandpar- ents are Elaine Ryke and Hershel Kashdan, and Marvin Fishman. She is also the granddaughter of the late Eddie Ryke and the late Diane Fishman. Michaela is thrilled to have her great-grandmother Rena Fishman sharing in the simchah. Michaela is in the eighth grade at Norup International School in Oak Park. Noah Samuel Goodman, son of Barry and Nicole Goodman, will be called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah Saturday, Sept. 7, at Adat Shalom Goodman Synagogue in Farmington Hills. Sharing in the simchah will be his siblings Jacob, Aaron, Rebecca and Joel. His proud grandparents are Evelyn Farber and Fred Farber. He is also the grandchild of the late Shirley and the late Walter Goodman. Noah is a student of Hillel Day School of Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington Hills. His mitzvah proj- ect was to add joy to the lives of those less fortunate by performing gemilut hasadim at Cass Community Social Services in Detroit. \ 11 Sophie Rachel Lutz will celebrate her bat mitzvah at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield Friday, Sept. 6. Her proud parents are DeAnn and David Lutz. She Lutz is the sister of Zoey and Ben and the grandchild of Mary and Dan Cowan, and Ina Lutz. She is also the grand- child of the late Sanford Lutz. Sophie is a student at West Hills Middle School in Bloomfield Hills. She felt her most meaningful mitzvah project was volunteering as a camp counselor.
