Aug. 13, 2013.
She is survived by her
daughter and son-in-law,
Myrna and Joe Salzman
of West Bloomfield;
son, Daniel Silverfarb of
Silverfarb
Chicago, Ill.; grandchil-
dren, Jill and David Crisp, and Nancy and
Brian Efusy; great-grandchildren, Cyle and
Nolan Crisp, and Jake and Scott Efrusy;
brother and sister-in-law, Rabbi Maurice
and Gitchu Cohen; devoted caregivers,
Helen Thomsberry, Faith, Winn and Dolores
Sanchez; many loving nieces, nephews and
family friends.
Mrs. Silverfarb was the beloved wife of the
late Louis Silverfarb; the cherished sister of the
late Sarah and the late Abram Warsen, the late
Celia and the late Jack Simon, the late Rose
and the late Asher Buchhalter, the late Esther
and the late Dr. Henry Chapnick, and the late
Betty and the late Walter Fishman; the loving
sister-in-law of the late Grant and the late Betty
Silverfarb, the late Frieda Silverfarb and the late
Nathan Silverfarb.
Interment was at Hebrew Memorial Park.

SILVERMAN, 79, of

Farmington Hills, died Aug.
17, 2013.
She was the former
owner of New Generation,
a girls' clothing store in the
Applegate Mall, from 1972-
Silverman
1987. Prior to the Applegate
location, New Generation was located in
the Heritage Building on 10 Mile Road and
Northwestern.
Mrs. Silverman is survived by her daughters
and sons-in-law, Nancy and Kenny Stocker of
West Bloomfield, and Carole and Kenny Allen
of West Bloomfield; son and daughter-in-law,
Kenny and Erin Silverman of Connecticut;
grandchildren, Jake Stocker, Hannah Stocker,
Jack Allen, Abby Silverman, Kate Silverman,
and Daniel and Allison Stocker; brothers and
sisters-in-law, Danny and Estelle Robbins,
Jerry and Marge Robbins, and Joel Gerson;
sister-in-law, Elaine Merkovitz.
She was the beloved wife of the late Morton

Silverman; the dear sister-in-law of the late
Ralph Merkovitz.
Interment was at Machpelah Cemetery.

Detroiter of Calabasas, Calif., died Aug. 9,
2013.
She was a strong, confident and opinion-
ated woman, who was forever protective and
loving of all her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband of
60 years, Michael "Mickey" Zide; and her
children, Larry (Sheryl) Zide, Debbie (Marty)
Cohen, and Rick (Erica) Zide; grandchildren,
David, Danielle, Brian, Jason, Amy, Sydney,
Justin, Jeremy and Megan; her sister, Sandy
(Ed) Marko; brothers, Alan (Gwen) Sarko, and
Rabbi Lenny (Karen) Sarko; brother-in-law,
Marty (Nancy) Zide; sister-in-law, Carol (Joe)
Brown; many adoring nieces, nephews, other
family members and countless friends.
Mrs. Zide was the devoted daughter of the
late Bessie and the late Louie Sarko.
