65th wedding anniversary on Aug.
21. Their children Rod and Dolly Corlin of
Highlands Ranch, Colo., Terri and Howard
Dembs of West Bloomfield, and grandchil-
dren, Bradley Dembs and Laura Corlin, as
well as several other family members and
friends, will join them at a dinner celebra-
tion this weekend to mark this special occa-
sion.

their daughter Ariana Lea Segal to Jay
Sonne Mentzel, son of Alan and Anita
Resnick of Farmington Hills and the
late Tut Mentzel.
Ariana earned her bachelor's degree
in international relations at the James
Madison College of Michigan State
University and her master's degree in
government, diplomacy and strategy
at the IDC (Interdisciplinary Center) of Herzliya, Israel. She is pursuing her pas-
sions in interfaith diplomacy and in acting for commercials and film.
Jay earned his bachelor's degree in psychology at MSU. He works in the metal
recycling business. He resides in Beverly Hills, Mich.
The couple are planning a wedding for May 2014 in Mexico.

elene and Ronald Kroll of
West Bloomfield are thrilled to
announce the engagement of
their daughter Samantha Beth to Richard
Adam Kerwin. Samantha is the granddaugh-
ter of Renee and Sandy Hoffman, Barbara
and Albert Kroll, and the late Pearl and
Lloyd Blazofsky. Richard is the son of Cheryl
and Dr. Ronald Kerwin, grandson of Beverly
and Robert N. Canvasser, and Thelma and
the late Dr. Paul (Pat) Kerwin.
Samantha graduated from the elementary
education program at Eastern Michigan
University with a bachelor's of arts and sci-
ence. She is teaching in the Walled Lake School District.
Richard graduated from the Ross School of Business at the University of
Michigan. He is involved in the development and investment of shopping centers
with Lormax Stern Development Company.
A September wedding is planned at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield. The
couple will reside in Bloomfield Hills.
