High Holiday Learning
Resources At Beth Ahm
The Hebrew month of Elul, which
leads up to the Jewish New Year,
is devoted to introspection, self-
assessment, study and prayer, all
geared to repairing relationships
with each other and with God. To
this end, Congregation Beth Ahm in
West Bloomfield is offering an array
of resources for self-directed Jewish
learning.

JPI To Present Free
Holiday Services
The Jewish Parents Institute (JPI)
will hold free High Holiday and
Sukkot services at the Jewish
Community Center in West
Bloomfield.
At 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, JPI
will host a Rosh Hashanah service.

At 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, JPI
will hold its Yom Kippur service.
From 10 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Sunday,
Sept. 22, JPI will present a Sukkot
celebration at Camp Ruth II, behind
Sachse Field at the JCC in West
Bloomfield.

Grosse Pointe Jewish
Council High Holidays
The Grosse Pointe Jewish Council
will celebrate the High Holidays with
services led by Rabbi David Nelson
and Cantorial Soloist Bryant Frank.
Rosh Hashanah will be celebrated
the evening of Sept. 4 and the day of
Sept. 5.
Yom Kippur will begin with Kol
Nidre on Friday, Sept. 13, concluding
with services throughout Saturday,
Sept. 14.
Both holidays will include chil-

Free Holiday Services
At Cong. T'chiyah
Congregation T'chiyah will host free
High Holiday services in the Mondry
Building on the JCC Campus in Oak
Park. Donations are welcome.
Rosh Hashanah services will be
at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, and
9:30 a.m. Thursday-Friday, Sept. 5-6.
There will be a luncheon Thursday
at $18 in advance. RSVP for lun-
