of West Bloomfield,
died Aug. 6, 2013.
He is survived by
his daughters and
sons-in-law, Sandi
Finkelstein
and Dr. Jeffrey Miller
of Farmington Hills, Debbie and Dr.
Steven Stein of Sylvan Lake; sister,
Sarah Pinter; grandchildren, Jason
and Beth Miller, Marc Miller, Amy
and Adam Kay, Madeline Stein, Jonah
Stein; great-grandchildren, Emily
Miller, Norah Miller.
Mr. Finkelstein was the beloved
husband of the late Elaine Finkelstein;
dear brother and brother-in-law of the
late Ida and the late Sam Lieberman,
the late Stanley Pinter, the late Mildred
and the late Hy Zerkel, the late Doris
and the late Sydney Kofman.
Contributions may be made to the
Jewish War Veterans, do Temple Beth
El, 7400 Telegraph Road, Bloomfield
Hills, MI 48301; Marvin and Betty
Danto Health Care Center, 6800 Drake,
West Bloomfield, MI 48322; Adat
Shalom Synagogue, 29901 Middlebelt
Road, Farmington Hills, MI 48334; or
to a charity of one's choice. Interment
was held at Adat Shalom Memorial
Park in Livonia. Arrangements by
Hebrew Memorial Chapel.

NEWTON LEWIS
FREEDMAN, 92, of

Farmington Hills,
died Aug. 11, 2013.
A retired owner of
an insurance agency,
Mr. Freedman
was a 75th-degree
Mason and a highly
decorated Army Air
Corps veteran of World War II, having
received six Bronze Stars.
He is survived by his daughters and
sons-in-law, Fran and Michael Goran
of Bloomfield Hills, Barbara and David
Singer of Raleigh, N.C.; grandchildren,
Jill and Adam Organ, Lori and Matt
Oliveira, Carly and Brodrick Dunn;
great-grandchildren, Zoe Elyse Organ,
Macy Hannah Organ, Maya Daisy
Oliveira, Isaac River Oliveira, Madison
Simone Dunn.
Mr. Freedman was the beloved
husband for 68 years of the late Selma
Freedman; the devoted son of the late
Bertha and the late Joseph Freedman;
the cherished son-in-law of the late
Mary and the late Harry Silverman.
Interment was at Hebrew Memorial
Park. Contributions may be made
to the charity of one's choice.
Arrangements by Hebrew Memorial
Chapel.
