>> ... Next Generation ... In The D Federation program introduces young adults to all the Motor City has to offer. n July 29, more than 70 young Jewish adults came together for an incredible Downtown event: Live! Work! Play! in the D!. The evening included a tour of five Downtown buildings, a panel discussion with young Jewish professionals living in the city and ended high in the skyline with a networking reception on the roof of the M@dison Building. Sponsored by CommunityNEXT, a division of Federation's NEXTGen Detroit, this event showed Detroit as a vibrant and meaningful home for young adults. These college-aged participants had the opportunity to hear about city life from a diverse group of panelists, all with different perspectives, all who work, live and play in the D. These five panelists shared their background, points of view and overall passion for the city of Detroit. Everyone in attendance was excited and inspired by the many opportunities in Detroit and how they can envision being a part of the city's growth and overall future. There was an outpouring of interest expressed about attending future NEXTGen Detroit events in the city and getting more involved with Detroit-related student organizations on their college campuses. With this amazing feedback, NEXTGen Detroit is set to host an intra-Jewish dialogue focusing on the shared experiences of young Jews in Metro Detroit. Stay tuned for more information. ❑ Raphael Davidov and other participants nosh at the Isaac Agree Downtown Synagogue.
