Helen Thomas Dies At 92;
Made Anti-Jewish Remarks
(JTA) Helen Thomas, a pioneering
female journalist who retired after
saying Jews should "get the hell out of
Palestine," died July 20 at age 92.
Outside a White House celebration
for American Jewish Heritage Month
in May 2010, Rabbi David Nesenoff
of RabbiLive.com . asked where she
thought the Jews should go.
"Go home she responded. Asked
to elaborate, Thomas said, "Poland,
Germany," and after more prompting
by the rabbi, "and America, and
everywhere else:'
On Dec. 2, 2010, at a speech at
the "Images and Perceptions of Arab
Americans" conference in Dearborn,
Thomas said, "Congress, the White
House, Hollywood and Wall Street are
owned by Zionists. No question, in my
opinion."
