The garden is open in the summer, fall and spring, from sunrise to sunset. Bible gardens usually contain plants mentioned in the Bible or use plants to recreate themes from the Bible. The Woll garden does both and serves as a place of inner reflection, education, social and community gatherings, and as a place to under- stand and appreciate the beauty of nature and its connection to the Jewish people. The garden was created by Drs. Douglas and Margo Woll in 2010 to honor the memory of Doug's parents, who believed in and exemplified the principles of goodness, caring and generosity. The garden was designed by Gary Roberts of Great Oaks Landscaping and features ceramic art- work by Carol Roberts of Tuscon, Ariz. Group tours can be arranged to take place any day of the week with the exception of Shabbat. To tour the garden, contact Rabbi Steven Rubenstein at (248) 851-6880, ext. 17, or email raysteven@cbahm.org. There is no charge to visit the gar- den individually or for official group tours, but donations are welcome to help its continued maintenance and enhancement. J-Cycle III: Bike Tour Of Jewish N.W. Blitz brings 20 years of experience in the field. Most recently, she served as ECC director of Gan Shalom at Congregation Beth Shalom in Oak Park. Blitz holds dual Lauren Blitz degrees in business administration and early childhood development.
