A pharmacist for nearly 40 years, he was active in his pharmacy fraternity, serving as its national president in 1952- 1953. Following retirement and moving to Florida in 1981, he was active in many community charities, as well as being an avid fisherman. In addition, he was known for a great sense of humor. Mr. Morton served in World War II, was in the second class of Camp Ritchie, therefore, a "Ritchie Boy," and was in the European Theater of Operations with General Patton's Third Army. Like many other World War II veterans, he rarely dis- cussed the war and then only anecdotal or humorous stories, never about the war itself.
