JEAN COSKI POMERANCE, 91,
of Lewisville, Texas, formerly of
Southfield, died June 30, 2013.
She is survived by her son, Norman
Pomerance of Denton, Texas; daughter
and son-in-law, Sheryl Pomerance and
Patrick O'Keefe of Saline; grandchil-
dren, Evan and Cydney Seigerman.
Mrs. Pomerance was the beloved
wife of the late Joseph Pomerance;
sister of the late Evelyn Saks, the
late Dorothy Shewach and the late
Adelaide DeRoven; sister-in-law of the
late Harry Shewach.
Contributions may be made to a
charity of one's choice. Arrangements
by Mulke-Mason Funeral Homes,
Lewisville, Texas.

WILLIAM W.
SAULSON, 89, of
Surfside, Fla., died
July 6, 2013.
He was a property
manager.
Mr. Saulson is
survived by his

in-law, Saul S. and Marjorie Saulson
of Franklin; granddaughter, Stephanie
Ralph; nieces and nephews, Melinda
Saulson, and Eli and Michele Saulson;
great-nieces and great-nephew,
Laela, Isaac and Sophia Saulson; first
cousins, Dorothy and Byron Gerson,
Jonathan and Ginger Uhr, William and
Janis Wetsman, and Karen Davidson;
caregiver, Iris (Ciro) Coello and her
family.
Mr. Saulson was the devoted com-
panion of the late Fortune Ralph; son
of the late Morse and the late Fannie
Saulson; the dear cousin of the late
William Davidson.
Interment was at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be

I. WILLIAM
SHERR, 92, of
Southfield, died July
7, 2013.
He was the co-
founder of Frank's
Nursery. At the time
of its sale in 1985,
Sherr
Frank's Nursery
had 150 stores in
nine states. Following the sale, Mr.
Sherr and his sons started Sherr
Development Company, a commercial
and residential building and develop-
ment company.
Mr. Sherr is survived by his wife
of 58 years, Harriet Sherr; sons and
daughter-in-law, Stuart Sherr, and
Roger and Andrea Sherr; daughter
and son-in-law, Margot and Michael
Shapiro; grandchildren, Mitchel,
Valarie and Spencer Sherr, Frank,
Jenna and Isabel Shapiro.
He was the devoted son of the late

Frank and the late Sadie Sherr; the
loving father-in-law of the late Dr.
Bonnie Sherr; the beloved brother
of the late Lillian Chernick, the late
Dr. Julius Sherr and the late Doris
Boschan; the dear brother-in-law
of the late Harry Chernick, the late
Shirley Sherr and the late Arthur
Boschan.

81, of Southfield,
died June 30, 2013.
He is survived
by his son and
daughter-in-law,
Leonid and Marina
Smorgonskiy
Smorgonsky of
West Bloomfield; sister-in-law, Larisa
Tylevich; grandchildren, Adielle
Smorgonsky, Ittai Svidler, Miriam
Svidler; niece, Lisa Svidler.
Mr. Smorgonskiy was the beloved
husband for 39 years of the late Irina
Kucherova.

ABRAHAM (ABER) WEINSTEIN,
96, died June 8, 2013.
He was born March 7, 1917, in
Detroit, the son of Hilda and Hyman
Weinstein. He was a World War II
veteran with honors. He worked as a
salesman in Detroit before retiring to
Scottsdale, Ariz., where he went to the
Jewish Community Center and Costco
every day.
He is survived by his sons, Neal
(Lori) Weinstein and Elliot Salk;
grandchildren, Mitchell Weinstein,
Jordan Weinstein, Ariel Salk and
Chloe Salk; sisters and brothers, Edna
Karpel, Sammy Weinstein, Noreen
Friedenberg, Shirley Dash and Harold
Weinstein; many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Weinstein was the husband of
the late Bernice Weinstein; brother
of the late Edith Plotkin and the late
Norman Weinstein. Contributions may
be made to a charity of one's choice.
Interment was in Scottsdale.
