MARK WEITZ, 94, of Bloomfield Hills, died
July 1, 2013.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Harriet
Weitz; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey and
Deborah Weitz of Newport Beach, Calif., Marty
and Linda Weitz of West Bloomfield; daugh-
ter, Norma Zager of West Hollywood, Calif.;
grandchildren, David Benjamin Weitz, Daniel
Alexander Weitz, Jamie Weitz, Andrew (Allie)
Weitz, Bradley Zager, Laurie (Adam) Herz;
great-grandchildren, Sam and Ben; special
friend, Sam Porter.
Mr. Weitz was the brother of the late Yetta
Weitz.

the Adat Shalom Memorial Park Cemetery
in Birmingham. Arrangements by Dorfman
Chapel.

DR. HARRY WENNER, 91, of Scottsdale,
Ariz., died July 1, 2013.
He was born in Detroit, the third son of
Jacob and Sarah Wenner. He was in the Army
during the Second World War. He graduated
from Central High School in 1940, attended the
University of Michigan and graduated dental
school from the University of Oregon.
Dr. Wenner practiced dentistry in Michigan
and Washington. He was a member of the den-
tal fraternity Alpha Omega. During the Korean
War, he served as an officer in the United
States Navy.

He adored his wife, Elayne, their three chil-
dren and his six grandchildren. He enjoyed
playing golf, poker, bridge and taking long
hikes with friends. He lived a meaningful and
fulfilled life.
In 1984, Dr. Wenner retired to Scottsdale.
After retiring, he spent many hours volunteer-
ing, providing community dental services. He
provided dental screenings for thousands of
children as part of the Head Start preventative
health program.
He was the subject of numerous news articles
that estimated he performed dental screenings
for more than 15,000 underprivileged children,
and he provided education to the public on
preventative dental health. For his exemplary
volunteer public health work, he received com-
mendations from the Arizona Department
of Health Services and the Maricopa County,
Arizona, Head Start Building America's Future
Program.
Dr. Wenner is survived by his daughter, Judy
Wenner; his son, David Wenner of Scottsdale;
and grandchildren, Courtney Grant, Evan Fox,
Seth Fox, Justin Fox, Jake Wenner and Sarah
Wenner.
He was the adoring husband of the late
Elayne Wenner. They were married for 60
years. He was the cherished father of the late
Carol Wenner-Grant.
