JOHN ISRAEL
JONES, 62, of

Clarkston, died
June 25, 2013.
The son of a suc-
cessful business-
woman, Sadie
Perrin Jones, and
Jones
a former minister
and historical labor leader, Lloyd T.
Jones, John inherited both the gifts of
businessman and a spiritual soul. He
was like a father to his deceased sis-
ter's children, Nicholas Lloyd, Jessica
Ann and Christina Rose Bartos. He
referred to his deceased lifetime
business partner's sons, Roger and
Christopher, as his children. They
have lived with him since their teens.
Gifted with a quirky wit, John had
a laugh that usually made him the
center of attention. He laughed and
joked in the midst of adversity. The
depth of his generosity, loyalty, love
and devotion to family was unfath-
omable. Mr. Jones shared all his suc-
cess with the friends and family he
was so devoted to, leaving only the
bare necessities for himself.
His passions were family, ancestry
and sports. He was an avid fan of all
Detroit teams; even in the hospital, he
kept up with the scores of all his teams.
His was truly a celebration of life.
Appreciation goes out to the
University of Michigan Hospital
medical staff, whose skill and com-
passion gave John the time he needed
to make peace and complete his life.
Mr. Jones is survived by his sister,
Rebecca Mitchell of Florida, who
learned the lesson of love and for-
giveness from him; loving nieces,
nephews and cousins.
Interment was at Hebrew Memorial
Park Cemetery. Contributions may
be made to the family through
ABC HVAC Co., 8328 Foster Road,
Clarkston, MI 48346; or to a charity of
one's choice. Arrangements by Hebrew
Memorial Chapel.
