MARC WILLIAM COOPER, 40,
of Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of West
Bloomfield, died June 12, 2013.
A most precious son, golden grand-
son, cherished godson, treasured neph-
ew and cousin, and phenomenally loyal
friend to many, Marc fiercely battled a
decade-long, fight-to-the-death struggle
with a monstrous, most aggressive
form of multiple sclerosis. During his
heydays, Marc had a passion for play-
ing hockey; he was also the Detroit Red
Wings most avid cheerleader.
Marc graduated from Wayne State
University in Detroit with a bachelor
of science degree in broadcasting. He
was a gravitational force; both people
and their pets were drawn to his
Seinfeldesque sense of humor, engaging
personality and living-in-the-moment
lifestyle. He will be sorely missed
beyond words and teardrops.
Pre-deceasing Marc were great-grand-
parents, Ethel and James Schossberger,
Abe and Tille Reznick; grandparents, Anne
and Jerry Cooper, William Cohen and Elsie
and Max Jaffe; godfather, Louis Cohen;
numerous great-aunts and great-uncles.
His is survived by his inconsolable
parents, Roberta and David Cooper;
sorrowful godmother and aunt, Shirley
Cohen Modiano; heartbroken aunts and
uncles, Anne and Donald Cohen, Nancy
and Rick Cooper, and Honey Reznik;
loyal caregivers, Shirley Floyd and
Lorenzo Medina; wonderful cousins and
supportive friends.
Services were held in Phoenix.
Contributions may be made to Hospice
of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St.,
Phoenix, AZ 85014.
