The cur Begins CommunityNEXT kicks off SummerTerm. no ore than 70 people came out to Como's in Ferndale after finishing their weekly ComePlayDetroit kickball games on May 23 to help CommunityNEXT kick off another SummerTerm of programming. Everyone enjoyed free pizza, watched the Red Wings game and socialized. The event started a full summer of programming for CommunityNEXT. The kickoff event, in partnership with ComePlayDetroit, was designed to reach out to college students home for the summer and show them the vibrant young adult community in Detroit. In addition to good food and great friends, SummerTerm raffled off tickets to upcoming events, such as two upcoming Tigers games as well as a John Mayer concert. Look for more fun events throughout the summer, including hiking at Stony Creek with Tamarack Camps. SummerTerm is the time to take advantage of the fun summer activities happening both in and around Detroit with Jewish peers.
