Louis Kuretzky of West Bloomfield; sons

and Ilene Kuretzky of West Bloomfield,
and Howard and Joyce Kuretzky of West
Bloomfield; grandchildren, Amy and
Chris Holmes, Andrea Kuretzky, Wendy
Rosen, Jill Rosen, Kevin Kuretzky and
Patrick Spadinger, Sarah Kuretzky, Steve
Edelman, Melissa and Craig Neumann,
and Aaron Kuretzky; great-grandchild-
ren, Samantha Holmes, Cameron Holmes,
Sydney Rosen, Max Litvin, Caden
Selinsky, Jacob, Jonah and Laila Edelman;
brother and sisters-in-law, Harvey
and Harriet Jaslove of Mesquitte, Nev.,

Mrs. Kuretzky was the loving mother
of the late Monya Kuretzky; sister and sis-
ter-in-law of the late Leonard and the late
Miriam Jaslove, late Minnie and late Nate
Rakotz, late Saul and late Ruth Kuretzky,
the late Sam Mehler.
Interment was at Hebrew Memorial

MARTIN SHUBIN, 101, of West
Bloomfield, died May 26, 2013.
A veteran of World War II, he par-
ticipated in the Normandy Invasion and
received the Purple Heart at the battle
of St. Lo. While stationed in Iceland, he
became the Army's ping pong champion.
He was an "absolute sweetheart with a
subtle sense of humor."
Mr. Shubin is survived by stepchildren,
Marilyn and Don Salle of California, and
Martin and Renata Chase of California;
grandchildren, Sheryl Salle and Ari
Chase.
Mr. Shubin was the beloved husband
for 40 years of the late Celia Shubin; the
cherished brother of the late Jeanette
Shubin.

Interment was at Clover Hill Park
