i 11 engagement of their son Joshua
Friedman to Miyuki Hashizume, daughter of
Yoshinobu and Kimi Hashizume.
Joshua earned a B.A. in international rela-
tions and Far Eastern studies at Michigan
State University. He is living in Aomori City,
Japan, employed as a coordinator for inter-
national relations for the JET program. He
is also pursuing an M.B.A. at Arizona State
University.
Miyuki attended Nagano Joshi Tanki
Daigaku College and is employed as a com-
munity center staff member at the Aomori City Board of Education.
A July wedding in Nagano, Japan, is planned.

ayle and Dr. Larry Finn, Jess
Elson, and Wendy and Mel
Dryman are thrilled to announce
the engagement of their children Dr.
Courtney Finn and Bradley Elson.
Courtney earned her bachelor's in psy-
chology from MSU and her doctorate
from the Illinois School of Professional
Psychology.
Brad earned his bachelor's in organi-
zational studies from U of M and his law
degree from Sandra Day O'Connor College
of Law at ASU.
The couple live in Chicago, where
Courtney is a clinical psychologist in group practice and Brad is a business con-
sultant.
A July wedding is planned at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield.
