She worked for many years as a very devoted registered Lane nurse, receiving her c. 1943 nursing certification from Columbia School of Nursing. She was very proud of the fact that doc- tors frequently requested that she care for their patients, never putting her name on a register to wait for assign- ments. Mrs. Lane loved to play the piano and sing; she also enjoyed knitting sweaters, leggings and booties for her children and scarves and afghans for dear friends. Mrs. Lane was a lifelong member of Hadassah. Mrs. Lane cherished her memories growing up as the second youngest of eight in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. She and her beloved Aaron married and moved to Michigan in 1943. They were married 65 years, until Aaron's death in 2008. Even in their 90s, they held hands as they walked, held hands as they ate at the kitchen table and held hands because they still loved and protected each other. Mrs. Lane is survived by her cherished daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Dr. Joel Seidman; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Robert and Rita Lane; loving grandchildren, Jennifer Seidman (Daniel Tal), Carl Seidman, Dr. Steven (Tina) Lane, Kevin (Laura) Lane; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Alex and Natalie Lane.
