Rafael Advanced Defense
Systems Ltd, designs,
develops, manufactures and
supplies a wide range of
high-tech defense systems
for air, land, sea and space
applications including the
Iron Dome system. Rafael
was established as part of
the Ministry of Defense more
than 50 years ago and was
incorporated in 2002.
Prior to Rafael, Weiss held
many ranking positions in
the Israeli Air Force, serving
10 years of active duty and
then as an active reservist
(Lieutenant Colonel) for 18
years. Weiss and his family
moved to the U.S for his
current position with Rafael

Weiss graduated from the
IAF Officer Academy in 1985
and served in several
commanding positions in
combat and training units.
Mr. Weiss completed his Me-
chanical Engineering studies
at the Tefen College in the
Upper Galilee, in 1996.
