for every day of the year," Serlin
recalls.
Intrigued, she asked her
mother if she could return to visit
Greenberg, and for the next year
and a half, she did, learning to knit
hats and bags, alongside her new
friend.

greater community," Rosenberg
says. "Our goal is to ensure viabil-
