He will examine today's buzz words of living in a "post-denominational; "trans-denominational" or "non- denominational" era and their implica- tion for the Jewish community. An expert in Halachah, Jewish law, Roth, a former Detroiter, was appointed to the Conservative Movement's Rabbinical Assembly's Committee on Jewish Law and Standards in 1978 and served on it until December 2006, with an eight-year period as chairman. Roth also serves as rosh yeshivah (head) of the Conservative Yeshiva in Jerusalem, founded and maintained by United Synagogue for Conservative Judaism and under the academic auspices of JTS. "With the unprecedented nature of this kind of terrorist attack, it's more important than ever that we reach out to help our fellow Americans:' B'nai B'rith International Executive Vice President Daniel S.
