ing a street near her
home in Boca Raton,
Fla.

Michael and Denise (Guz) Stern,
formerly of Farmington Hills; sister
of Moshe, Yossi, Devorah, Shaya and
Ellie; granddaughter of Harold and
Sheila Guz, Harvey and Helen Shapiro;
niece of David and Jill Guz.

ROSALYN KRANHOUSE STONE, 79,
of Oak Park, died April 19, 2013.
She is survived by her son, David
Stone of Detroit; daughters and son-
in-law, Deborah Rodriguez of Novi,
Judith and Scott Blanchard of Novi;
grandchildren, Joshua (Bethany)
Blanchard, Evan Blanchard, Benjamin
Blanchard, Jordan Blanchard, Haskell
Rodriguez, Leah Rodriguez.
Mrs. Stone was the beloved wife of
the late Haskell Stone.
Contributions may be made to
the Jewish National Fund. Interment
took place at the Workmen's Circle
Cemetery in Clinton Township.

SYLVIA FIRESTONE UNGAR, 92,
passed away peacefully on Nov. 19,
2012, in her home in Walnut Creek,
Calif.
In 1925, her father joined
Congregation Shaarey Zedek, then in
Detroit, where she attended services
from age 5 and was consecrated in its
third consecration class, her teacher
being Theodore Baruch.
Rabbi Abraham Hershman offici-
ated at her marriage in 1948 to Harry
W. Ungar, now deceased, but then of
McKeesport, Pa. Sylvia was a member
of the Sisterhood of Shaarey Zedek,
B'nai B'rith Women's International, the
National Council of Jewish Women
and a life member of Hadassah.
She was program chairman of the
Senior Group at Shaarey Zedek, a
storyteller at the Pepper School in
Oak Park and a volunteer at the Surgi-
Center in Michigan during the years
after she moved from McKeesport to
Southfield. In California, she was a
longtime member of a book group.
Sylvia played the piano and
throughout her life loved the arts, in
particular music.
She is survived by her daughters,
Ann Firestone Ungar of New York,
Deborah Ungar Gyory of Walnut
Creek, and Miriam Ungar of Denver;
son-in-law, Craig Gyory; grandson,
Michael Gyory; niece, Ellen Firestone;
and nephew, Steven lszauk.
In memory of the deceased, contri-
butions may be made to the Hospice of
the East Bay, Pleasant Hill, CA.
MARCIA WEINBAUM, 82, of
Farmington Hills, died April 15, 2013.
She is survived by her son and
daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Anita
Weinbaum of West Bloomfield; daugh-
ters and son-in-law, Sheryl Weinbaum
of Farmington, Linda Kahan of West
Bloomfield, and Elisa and Rick Geisz
of West Bloomfield; sister and brother-
in-law, Naomi and Toby Breuer of
West Bloomfield; grandchildren,
Keith (Lindsay) Weinbaum, Marshall
Weinbaum, Sara Kahan, Carlee
Weinbaum, Sydney Bressler and Dylan
Bressler; many other loving family
members and friends.
Mrs. Weinbaum was the beloved
wife of the late Murray Weinbaum.
Contributions may be made to
the Jewish Hospice and Chaplaincy
Network or to a charity of one's choice.
Interment took place at the B'nai Israel
Cemetery in Novi. Arrangements by
Dorfman Chapel.
IDA WOODROW, 91, of Denver,
Colo., died April 15, 2013.
She is survived by her son and
daughter-in-law, Daniel and Myndie
(Brown) Woodrow; daughter, Cathy
Woodrow, all of Denver; daughter-
in-law, Shelly Gordon of West
Bloomfield; grandchildren, Stacy
(Scott) Wasserman, Steven (Johanna)
Woodrow, Scott (Mara) Woodrow, and
Alexis (Gerald Blackler) Woodrow,
Stephanie (Emily) Schuster; great-
grandchildren, Hannah, Reuben and
Brady.
Mrs. Woodrow was the wife of the
late Morris Schneiderman and the late
Sidney Woodrow; the mother of the
late Barry Woodrow and the late Gary
Woodrow.
Interment was in Denver.

Denver Academy of Torah or to a char-
ity of one's choice.
