VERNE M. PRIMACK, D.D.S., passed away at the Denver Jewish Hospice in Denver, Colo., on March 19, 2013, where he had resided since 2007. Dr. Primack was a Primack graduate of the Dental School of the University of Michigan and served as a captain in the U.S. Army Dental Corps. In 1959, he moved to Saginaw, where he practiced dentistry for 40 years. He served as presi- dent of the Saginaw Dental Society, was appointed to the State of Michigan Board of Dentistry and was a regent of the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. A Renaissance man who never stopped giving of himself, Dr. Primack served as a member of the Saginaw Township School Board, a sponsor of the Can-America Games, and, after he retired from den- tistry, as a volunteer for CASA, as a court appointed special advocate assisting foster children, and, in Denver, helping Russian immigrants to prepare for their citizenship exams. Dr. Primack was a former member of the Saginaw Country Club and a board member of Temple B'nai Israel in Saginaw and Hebrew Educational Alliance in Denver. A proud alumni of the University of Michigan and member of the Henry P. Tappin Society of the University, Dr. Primack, with his wife, Naomi, initially established and spon- sored the first interdisciplinary Robert D. Moyers Symposium on Cranio-Facial Growth and Development, now in its 40th year. Dr. Primack is survived by his wife of 56 years, Naomi; his sons, Brian of Cambridge, Mass., Scott (Deborah) of Denver, Glenn (Marla) of Milwaukee, Wis.; his grandchildren, Samantha, Kyle, Henry and Jake Primack; his sister, Gere Baskin of Birmingham; his brother, Marvin Primack (Bune) of Stockton, Calif. HERBERT RECHTER, 80, of West Bloomfield, died April 14, 2013. He is survived by his sons and daughter-in- law, Mitchell Rechter, and Ron and Nancy Rechter; daughter and Rechter son-in-law, Brenda and David Steuer; grandchil- dren, Adam, Brandon and Jamie Steuer, Kasey, Cory and Kyle Rechter; brother-in- law and sisters-in-law, Dr. Gilbert and Dr. Jackie Mayor, and Dolly Mehr; many lov- ing nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was the beloved husband of the late Marge Rechter; the loving brother of the late Roberta and the late Jerold Sprague; the devoted son of the late Nathan and the late Flora Rechter.
