Mitzvah Rock Concert
At Hillel Day School
A rock concert to benefit Kids Kicking
Cancer, featuring Chromophobia, with
special guests local musicians Jon
Liebman, Marty Liebman and Mike
Friedman, will take place 3-5 p.m.
Sunday, April 21, at Hillel Day School
of Metro Detroit, 32200 Middlebelt,
Farmington Hills.
The event is organized as a joint bar
mitzvah project by Hillel classmates
Adam Liebman, 13, of West Bloomfield,
Seth Kahan, 12, of Bloomfield Hills and
Michael Stryk, 13, of Farmington Hills.
The concert idea came about last fall
when Adam was considering bar mitz-
vah project ideas. He plays guitar and
thought about doing something musical,
which turned into a plan to organize a
classic rock and current pop music con-
cert to benefit a charity.
Kids Kicking Cancer (KKC) was
chosen because Adam is a black belt in
mixed martial arts and the other two
students also have taken martial arts.
Their moms took them to a KKC class
and they were inspired.
