hake, Rattle & Twist is a
monthly program at Adat
Shalom for babies and tod-
dlers, along with their parents, grand-
parents or caregivers. Hazzan Dan
Gross and Rabbi Rachel Shere open the
gathering with joyful music and dance.

Then the children, with grown-up
assistance, each braid a challah to take
home and bake for Shabbat. There is
no charge. The community is welcome.
The next Shake, Rattle & Twist event
will be at 11:15 a.m. Friday, April 5, at
the Farmington Hills synagogue.

n March 2, Eton Academy
in Birmingham cel-
ebrated its "Embrace the
Extraordinary" gala and auction with
more than 350 people attending.
The 27-year-old school serves dif-
ferent learners from 50 communities
in southeast Michigan. This year,
it reached record attendance with
205 students in grades 1-12. Eton
Academy works with all schools to
provide information and resources to
parents/teachers regarding students
with learning differences. The school

also is a sponsor of the Federation's
Alliance for Jewish Education's
Opening the Doors Partnership
Program.
Gala co-chairs were Suzanne
Mahoney and Michelle Fredericks,
mothers of Eton students. Funds
generated from the event will be
used to continue the critical work of
educating Eton's students with learn-
ing differences and providing a sup-
port network for their families.
