Irwin Alterman's unquenchable thirst for knowledge,
keen insights, quick wit and appreciation for de-
tail made him one of America's top attorneys. He
achieved highest honors, litigated landmark cases and
influenced interpretation of the law. Yet, his many ac-
complishments pale in comparison to the passion and
personality with which he practiced law on a daily

Irwin was a dedicated family man, world traveler and
appreciated everything life had to offer. He was a
selfless volunteer and distinguished leader for many
organizations. He also gave generously of his talents
to many pro bono cases and charitable causes.
We will be forever grateful for the professional excel-
lence, friendship and sense of fun that Irwin brought
to our firm. The 23 years he spent with us were not
enough.
