n Feb. 13, Congregation B'nai
Moshe hosted its annual cabaret
night to a packed crowd filling
the West Bloomfield synagogue's Bodzin
Social Hall. This year, the cast included
many children, which was very appropri-
ate to the theme of Disney music.
Cast and audience alike enjoyed the
enduring music from the wide range of
Disney films that still delight children and
adults alike.

JSL's mid-winter "cruise" program brings sunshine to residents.

ewish Senior Life recently
hosted a Caribbean Cruise
week in its West Bloomfield
and Oak Park residences — with steel
drums, flower leis and limbo contests.
"We have a Senior Dream Cruise
in the summer. Why not break up the
dreary winter days with a little summer
fun?" said Mary Blowers, programming
coordinator at the Edward I. & Freda
Fleischman Residence/Louis C. & Edith
B. Blumberg Plaza. "For residents who
cannot get out so easily anymore, we
brought the cruise ship to them."
All JSL's residences were involved;
some Oak Park residents made a "port
of call" in West Bloomfield and vice
versa, Blowers said. The program also
included folks from the Dorothy &
Peter Brown Memory Care Pavilion.
"Calypso music had JSL residents
singing, shaking their maracas and
movin' and groovin' on the dance
floor," Blowers said. "A wonderful time
was had by all."
