The Detroit Zoological Society has
appointed Marvin C. Daitch to
a three-year term on its board of
directors. Daitch, a Farmington Hills
lawyer, is president of Daitch Realty
Company and retired principal and
co-founder of NorthPoint Capital,
a commercial mortgage banking
group. He previously served as
executive vice president and general
manager of Arnold Drugs, a chain of
65 drugstores.

Eric K. Levin, originally of
Bloomfield Hills, was given the
Cannes Gold Lion Award in June
of 2012. This award was presented
to Levin and the team of media
executives at Starcom Mediavest
Group (SMG) for work on product
integration collaboration between
Mondelez's Wheat Thins and
Stephen Colbert and the Colbert
Report. The award, the highest honor
in branded content, was the first to
be received at LiquidThread, a sub-
sidiary of SMG, where Levin is a vice
president.

Dr. M. Jeffrey
Maisels of
Bloomfield Hills
was honored on
Feb. 22 in Orlando
as a 2013 Legends
of Neonatology Hall
of Fame inductee.
Maisels
He was chosen for a
career spanning 47
years of clinical care and research
involving management of the jaun-
diced newborn infant. The award
was presented at NEO: the
Conference for Neonatology, a major
medical meeting for neonatologists.
Maisels joined Beaumont in 1986
as chief of pediatric services at
Beaumont Hospital Royal Oak. He
has championed efforts to expand
and integrate pediatric services
across Beaumont's three hospitals
and at outpatient sites, and led the
expansion of neonatal intensive
care and comprehensive programs
for children throughout Beaumont
Health System.
Award To Be Given For
Nonprofit Leadership
The Community Foundation for
Southeast Michigan announced that
it is accepting nominations for the
2013 Mariam C. Noland Award for
Nonprofit Leadership to honor a local
nonprofit president or CEO.
Nominations must be made through
the Foundation's online application at
www.cfsem.org by April 1.
The foundation will make a one-
time grant of $10,000 to the recipient's
nonprofit organization to allow him or
her to attend professional continuing
education, take a personal sabbatical
for career rejuvenation or engage in
philanthropic leadership activities.
