and his reverence for how the Holocaust affected all.

asha Einstein Gross lost her entire family — parents and eight brothers and
sisters — at the Belzec Concentration Camp in Poland. She was saved by a
Haganah member carrying out his third staged marriage to rescue young
women into Palestine.
No. 3 turned lucky for young Chaim Gross of the underground military organiza-
tion. The couple fell in love and married for the cherished reasons.
Their grandson, Cantor Daniel Gross of Adat Shalom Synagogue in Farmington
Hills, never forgets his family history and the history of others who suffered through
the Holocaust.
He believes in brighter tomorrows.
