Read To Children At Detroit's Bagley School The Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit Women's Department's Tikun Olan Volunteers (TOV) are inviting the community to celebrate National Reading Month by sharing a book with a kindergartener at Bagley Elementary School in Detroit on Thursday, March 21. Volunteers, asked to bring one new book to read and donate to a student, will meet at the Max Fisher Federation Building, 6735 Telegraph, Bloomfield Township, at 9:45 a.m. for carpools to Bagley, returning around 12:30 p.m. RSVP by March 14. JELS Coordinator Marvin Berman will discuss how to apply for an interest-free student loan offered through the JELS program. He will also address availability of financial assistance through federal, state, institutional and private sources. Informational resource materials will also be available.
