Q & A with Maurice "Jerry" Beznos about independent living communities.

ife can improve for seniors who give
up the responsibility of running a
home, according to Maurice "Jerry"
Beznos, managing partner in Beztak
Companies of Farmington Hills. He spoke
with Boom about independent senior
living communities, including Beztak's All
Seasons of West Bloomfield.

BOOM: When should a senior
homeowner consider transitioning to
another type of living situation?
MJB: That depends on each individual.
Many seniors may be motivated to
move as they no longer enjoy looking
after a house and desire to pursue other
gratifying endeavors. Others may want
to live in a community where support
staff is available.

We provide a luxurious country estate
environment, but in a design idiom that
trends toward the contemporary.
We are focused on bringing light and
a sense of vitality into our environment,
with our comfort-controlled
conservatory overlooking a garden,
skylights over the lounge area, second-

vibrant colors.

our residents can
remain as independent as possible. Our
location is a plus, too – we're less than a
mile from West Bloomfield Henry Ford
Hospital.

BOOM: Must residents move if they
have a serious medical impairment?
MJB: Given that All Seasons is our
residents' home, they may remain and
receive the continuum of care required
to support their independence.
If a medical event requires residents to
move, we are able to facilitate a transfer.

BOOM: Why choose an independent
senior living community?
