he Jewish Women's Circle
of West Bloomfield, run by
an enthusiastic group of
West Bloomfield women of all ages
and headed by Zeesy Silberberg,
is having its big event of the year
at 7 p.m. Monday, March 5, at the
Jewish Community Center in West
Bloomfield.
The "Jewish Women Through the
Ages Fashion Show" is a theatrical
journey through Jewish feminin-
ity that is historically informative as
well as artistically appealing. From
ancient Mesopotamia to the modern
day, the show leads the audience on a
remarkable tour across the landscape
of Jewish history, portraying the great
female personalities who have contrib-
uted to Jewish survival and identity.
Each heroine's story will be brought
to life — in words and imagery, song
and dance — by a brilliant local cast
of models and performers walking the
runway, costumed and bejeweled, in

intricate attire from each character's
era.
The Matriarch Sarah, Moabite
Princess Ruth, Donna Gracia, Hanna
Szenes and others will share their lives'
greatest challenges and triumphs. The
show will culminate with a celebration
of today's Jewish woman.
This will be the Jewish Women's
Circle's fourth annual event, which will
include delicious food, entertainment
and messages of inspiration. Before the
event is over, there will be dancing to
Jewish music.
The Jewish Women's Circle, a proj-
ect of the Sara and Morris Tugman
Bais Chabad Torach Center in West
Bloomfield, prides itself on the diverse
backgrounds and affiliations of the
women who participate on a monthly
basis.
The event is for women only.
Admission is $36. Contact Zeesy
Silberberg at (248) 865-1541 or email
zeesy@baischabad.org .
