called to the bimah
on Saturday, Feb. 2,
at Congregation
Beth Shalom in Oak
Park. She is the
Doctoroff
daughter of Andy
and Stacy Doctoroff
and the granddaughter of Susan and
Dennis Kay of Farmington Hills, and
the late Dr. Allene and Judge Martin
Doctoroff. She is the great-grand-
daughter of Samuel Solomon of
Farmington Hills. Alana is the sister of
Nicole and Matthew Doctoroff.
Alana is a seventh-grader at Norup
International School in Oak Park.
For one of her mitzvah projects, she
earned money by babysitting and will
use the money to purchase needed
school supplies and snacks for a
third-grade classroom at Einstein
Elementary School in Oak Park.

Bloomfield. Excited great-grandmoth-
ers are Lillian Binder of Highland
Park, Ill., Dina Brodsky of Franklin
and Frances Dreyfuss of Fairfield,
Iowa. Hannah is named in loving
memory of her great-grandfather
Herman (Tzvi) Brodsky.

felt it was important to volunteer at
Gleaners Food Bank as one of her
mitzvah projects.

Southfield. She is the
Hooberman
daughter of Sally and
Jimmy Hooberman
and the older sister of Jane and Marlee.
Her proud grandparents are Judy and
Walter Coleman of Keego Harbor, and
Carol and Paul Hooberman of
Franklin.
Lily is a seventh-grader at West Hills
Middle School in Bloomfield Hills.
Among her variety of mitzvah projects,
volunteering at Forgotten Harvest was
one of her favorites.
