Film Proceeds
To Benefit Kadima
The Detroit film premier of the movie
Of Two Minds will be shown at 2 p.m.,
2:45 p.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10,
at the Maple Theater in Bloomfield
Township. Sponsored by Joel and Monni
Must, proceeds from the showing of this
documentary will benefit Kadima's Miya
Jo Must home, dedicated in memory of
the Musts' daughter. The home provides
young women struggling with mental
illness a safe, secure and nurturing home
environment.
Of Two Minds offers an intimate look
at a family's struggle to cope with a loved
one suffering from serious mental illness
and the challenges that threaten to tear
them apart. Four individuals are high-
lighted: Spikol, who spent her 20s in and
out of mental hospitals but who is now a
thriving professional; Carlton, an artist
in his 60s, who was not diagnosed until
his 50s; Cheri, a stylist to celebrities, who
would like to wean herself off medication
that she worries will rob her of her cre-
ativity; and Petey, an artist and musician
and Cheri's boyfriend.
The documentary also presents testi-
mony from people dealing with bipolar
disorders, such as actress Jennifer Lewis,
mental health activists and professionals,
and family members who have a loved
one diagnosed with mental illness.
Tickets for the film are $20 and may
be purchased online at www.
kadimacenter.org or by calling Paula
Schonberg at (248) 559-8235, ext. 118.
Kadima provides services to adults
diagnosed with chronic mental illness
and to children, ages 3-18, diagnosed
with emotional and behavioral disorders.
From residential options for adults to
specialized groups for children, Kadima
is committed to help clients integrate
into the community and experience
acceptance and comfort in a world that
often ignores, dismisses and stigmatizes
those with mental illness.

Michael Steinhardt To
Auction Judaica Trove
(JTA) Jewish philanthropist Michael
Steinhardt will auction off his 500-piece
Judaica collection, Sotheby's announced.
The auction house will offer a dedi-
cated auction titled "A Treasured Legacy:
The Michael & Judy Steinhardt Judaica
Collection" on April 29 in New York.
Steinhardt has been collecting rare
and unusual Judaica for the past three
decades, according to Artdaily.org .
"It is time for the collection to be
passed onto a new generation in the
hopes that it will encourage them in turn
to discover a rich Jewish heritage and
the joy of owning a piece of the past:'
Steinhardt said in a statement released
by Sotheby's.
A standout artifact in the collection
is the Frankfurt Mishnah Torah, an illu-
minated manuscript from the mid-15th
century that has an estimated value of
$4.5 million to $6 million. The first vol-
ume of the two-volume set is housed in
the Vatican.
Following an initial exhibition at
Sotheby's York Avenue galleries, high-

lights from the Steinhardt collection will
travel to Moscow and Jerusalem before
returning to New York for a formal exhi-
bition April 24-28. In addition, Sotheby's
specialists will travel to Hong Kong,
Singapore and Brazil, as well as cities
across the United States and Europe,
presenting illustrated talks about the col-
lection in advance of the sale, the auction
house said.
"The exceptional and rare objects
that comprise the Steinhardt Collection
illustrate the sweep of Jewish history
from antiquity through the 20th century
and across Europe, Asia, Africa and the
Americas:' according to Sotheby's.
Steinhardt is chairman of Renaissance
Media, which publishes the IN.

MI-Israel Business Bridge
Says 'Buy Israel Goods'
The Michigan Israel Business Bridge
(MIBB) has partnered with the
BuylsraelGoods (BIG) campaign. The
link to the BIG site can be found on the
homepage of the MIBB website, www.
michiganisrael.com .
The BIG campaign highlights vendors
who carry Israeli products and can help
consumers identify Israeli products
available in local retail stores as well as
from online retailers.
Supporting local merchants who carry
Israeli products is one of the best ways to
combat the divestment/boycott/sanction
movement (BDS) and makes it possible
for more Israeli product placement to
occur.
