SAMUEL MELLIN, 84, of Orion Township, died Jan. 7, 2013. He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Andrea and Vincent McCown of Oxford, Gail Mellin of Livonia; sister and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Harold LaBell of Florida; Carl Hoff of Southfield; grandchildren, Benjamin McCown, Hal McCown; many loving nieces and nephews. Mr. Mellin was the beloved husband of the late Beverly Mellin and the late Harriett Greener Mellin; dear brother of the late John Mellin, the late Mary Hoff. MARSHALL D. NATHAN, 68, of Texas, Nathan died Jan. 3, 2013. He passed away at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas, where he had been on staff for 32 years. Dr. Nathan graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School with honors and did his residency and fellowship at Washington University Medical College/ Barnes Hospital. He directed and taught at the Medical College of Georgia. Many times over the years, Dr. Nathan was listed as a "top super doctor" in otolar- yngology in San Antonio and Texas. His passions were running, compet- ing in more than 70 marathons, being a fitness fanatic, and belonging to the Longhorn Region Porsche Club, where he often raced. He was also a master angler and held several records for pike and muskie fishing. Dr. Nathan had a special fondness for his Lakeland Terriers. He is survived by his wife, Natalie of San Antonio; sons, Daniel Nathan of New York, Adam Nathan of Arizona; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon May Savine and Burt Savine of Florida; nieces and nephews, Berton and Renee May, Peter and Lori May, Mathew May and fiancee, Amy Galante, Carole May Miller and Eric Miller; aunt, Ida Nathan; nine great-nieces and great-nephews; many cousins, friends and colleagues. She was a pharmacist with a master's degree in business. She was also vice president of Providence Hospital and attended Schoolcraft College Culinary School. Jacqueline is survived by her brother- in-law, Dr. Melvin Rosenblatt; nephews and niece, Mark Rosenblatt, and Diedra and Cory Wilson; and their son, Blake Wilson; cousins, Deborah Roggin Proen and Angelo Proen; and their children, Sofia, Katina and Ben Proen; and Sandra Robinson; many friends; her faith- ful companions, Bitsy, Butttercup and Peaches. Jacqueline was the devoted daughter of the late Shirley Moss and the late Sam Roggin; the loving sister of the late Rosalyn Rosenblatt. Interment was at Adat Shalom Memorial Park Cemetery.
