Bloomfield. He is the grandson of Roz
and Dr. Michael Rubin, Fern Carlin
and Dennis Carlin and the great-
grandson of Charlie Weiner. His late
great-grandparents are Inge Weiner,
Fred Weinstein, Frieda and Louis
Rubin, Lillian and Herbert Carlin, and
Minnie and Lou Reinstein.
Joshua attends Orchard Lake Middle
School in West Bloomfield. Among his
various mitzvah projects, he felt his
volunteer work at Friendship Circle in
West Bloomfield was the most mean-
ingful.

as a bat mitzvah on
Saturday, Jan.12, at

Southfield. Sharing in the simchah will
be grandparents Morton and Joan
Jacobs and Eliahou Weiss. She is also
the granddaughter of the late Rebecca
Weiss.
Hannah is a student at Hillel Day
School of Metropolitan Detroit in
Farmington Hills. For her mitzvah
project, she enjoyed volunteering at
Doggie in the Window in Berkley.

called to the Torah
as a bar mitzvah on
Friday, Jan. 4, at
Temple Shir Shalom
Weinberg
in West Bloomfield.
Sharing in the cele-
bration were his sister Rachel and his
grandma Edith Weinberg.
Louis is a student at Orchard Lake
Middle School in West Bloomfield. He
enjoyed participating in the shoresh
(teacher aides) program at Temple
Shir Shalom.
