A Mishmash

His Mechanical Museum is really neat ... Marvin's office, not so much.

OTPOURRI ...
He may have one of the
most interesting collections of
fun games, pictures, artifacts, etc., as
chronicled many times by media of the
world, but Marvin Yagoda's office at his
Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum
on Orchard Lake Road, Farmington Hills,
is its own head-shaking entity.
It's only about 10 feet by 12 feet, if that,
and unlike the museum, a total mess!
But if you ask him about something pos-
sibly buried under a rubble of "nothings"
that has grown since he opened almost
30 years ago in the former Tally Hall and
present Hunters Square, Marvin will look
for and, many times, miraculously find it
... Like a recent instance when someone
was wondering where
a little hard-to-find
battery could be found
... "Wait, maybe I have
one said Marvin as he
began digging ... Sure
enough, he unearthed
an elusive battery for
the astounded customer.
Marvin has thou-
sands of exhibits,
games, fun booths, etc.,
and keeps adding more Marvin's office
at his neatly assembled
Marvin's Marvelous Museum, but his
tiny little junk-heap office is an absolute
shambles.
NOT MUCH CHANGE in the way that
folks revel on New Year's Eve ... Same
hats, same balloons, same "forget your
troubles:' etc. ...
But, according to many, a difference
seemed to appear at numerous places such
as Steven Lelli's Inn on the Green, 12 Mile
Road, Farmington Hills.
In fact, most folks were quick to pro-

might have gotten better than usual ...
No explanation for that, because it's the
