He is survived by his daughter and
son-in-law, Donna and Sheldon Litman
of Farmington Hills; brother, Marvin
Myers of Farmington Hills; grandson,
Joshua Litman and fiancee, Karolyn
Wolff-Beckert; also survived by many
loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Mr. Myers was the beloved husband of
the late Evelyn Myers.

CORINNE NAYER, 90, of Huntington
Woods, died Dec. 21, 2012.
She was an admissions coordinator
for Merrill Palmer Institute for eight
years, the chief administrator for the
Physicians Assistant Program at the
University of Detroit for 20 years and
a life member of Congregation Shaarey
Zedek.
Mrs. Nayer is survived by her daugh-
ter and son-in-law, Susan and Richard
Kesner of Massachusetts; son and
daughter-in-law, Seymour Nayer and
Deborah Brouwer of Huntington Woods;
grandchildren, Henry Kesner, Samuel

and Jessica Kesner, Benjamin Nayer and
David Nayer; sister-in-law, Vivian Perlis.
She was the beloved wife of the late
Harry Nayer; the loving sister of the late
Sanford Perlis.
Interment was at Machpelah
Cemetery. Contributions may be made
to the Merrill Palmer Skillman Institute,
Wayne State University, 71 E. Ferry,

THELMA FAY RODD,
89, of Southfield, died
Dec. 24, 2012.
She is survived by
her son, David Rodd of
South Elgin, Ill.; grand-
children, Jonathan
Rodd, Chris Rodd,
Courtney Rodd; nephew and niece,
Howard and Cathy Fridson; many other
loving nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Rodd was the beloved wife of the
late Sam Rodd; dear mother of the late
Robert Rodd.

Winston-Salem, N.C.,
formerly of Michigan,
died Dec. 19, 2012.
Mrs. Sanders was
a member of Shaarit
HaPlaytah. As a

seamstress and dress-
maker, she taught
at MacNamara Skill
Center in Detroit,
assisting welfare par-
ticipants in gaining

a trade. She was a

member of both the
Holocaust Memorial
Center in Farmington Hills and U.S.
Holocaust Memorial Museum in
Washington, D.C. She also supported a
large variety of pet organizations.
Mrs. Sanders is survived by her
daughters and son-in-law, Eva and
Tom Hawley of Commerce, Wendy and
Richard Weinberg of Winston-Salem;

sister, Repe Cohen; grandchildren,
David Hawley, Todd and Fatin Hawley,
Heather and Alan Austin, Tamara and
Rabbi Nevo Zuckerman, Joshua and
Amanda Weinberg, Adam Weinberg;
great-grandchildren, Ryan and Gabriela
Hawley, Hannah Austin, Asher Austin,
Naftali, Avital, Alya, Shmuel, Advah and
Gedalia Zuckerman, and Eli Weinberg;
close cousins and friends.
Mrs. Sanders is predeceased by fam-
ily members who perished during the
Holocaust, including her daughter, the
late Lilkah Sajovic; siblings, the late
Bertzie, the late Moshie, the late Irina,
the late Lola, the late Ava and the late
Yossil Schick. Mrs. Sanders was the
beloved wife of the late Ignac Sanders;
dear sister of the late Shimon Schik.
