ROSLYN ACKNER, 88, of West
Bloomfield, died Dec. 23, 2012.
She is survived by her daughter and
son-in-law, Joyce and Michael Levin;
sons and daughter-in-law, Bruce and
Cynthia Levin, Jeffrey Ackner; daughter-
in-law, Doreen Ackner; grandchil-
dren, Todd Levin, Jodi (Brian) Tepper,
Matthew (Janelle) Levin, Steven, Garrett,
Andrew Ackner, Amanda Levin; great-
grandchildren, Jacob, Isabella, Leah
Levin, Jordyn, Allie and Noah Tepper.
Mrs. Ackner was the beloved wife of
the late Stanley Ackner.

MARGERY KANTER ADINOFF passed
away peacefully on Dec. 15, 2012, in
Santa Rosa, Calif.
She was born on June 7, 1925, in
Detroit, the daughter of Rena Thal and
Jerome Kanter. She attended Cass Tech
High School and Wayne State University.
She married Joseph Adinoff of Port
Huron in 1948 and had two girls, Jan
and Pam. In 1953, they all moved to Los
Angeles, where Joseph was a chemical
engineer and Marge a homemaker.
In the mid-1960s, Marge resumed her
career in merchandising by becoming
a department manager for the UCLA
Student Store. In 1978, she decided to
form her own screen-printing business,
Adin of California, which she ran in
the Los Angeles area until selling it in
1991. After that time, she was involved
in numerous local charities, especially
enjoying her time with Brandeis Women
(Brandeis National Committee).
In 2009, Margery moved to Santa
Rosa, living in Villa Capri at Varenna
to be near her daughter Pam Adinoff of
Petaluma, Calif.
Mrs. Adinoff leaves her loving memo-
ries to be cherished by her brother,
Austin Kanter, and his wife Faye Kanter
of West Bloomfield; daughters, Pam
Adinoff of Petaluma, Jan Adinoff
Gordon of Indian Wells, Calif., with
her husband, Miles Gordon; two caring
grandchildren, Todd Gordon of Redondo
Beach, Calif., and Joni Gordon Wells and
her husband, David Wells, of Denver.
She was predeceased by her beloved
husband Joseph in 1967.
Services were held at Hillside
Memorial Park in Los Angeles.

late Cheri Siegel; and the twin sister of
the late Henrietta Gerson.

Dec. 20, 2012.
She is survived by her daughter and

She is survived by her daughters and
sons-in-law, Mindy and Scott Hess,

Hal Burnett.

DR. SOL SIDNEY
DRESNER, 96, died
Dec. 15, 2012, in Los
Angeles.
He was born Sept.
7, 1916, in Rochester,
N.Y., to Hyman and
Sadie Dresner. He grew

up in Detroit, one of
seven brothers and
one sister, where he
graduated from Central High School. It
was there he met his love, Millie Austen
They married in 1941. He then attended
the Cleveland School of Chiropody
(renamed "podiatry") and was begin-
ning his career when World War II
took him to England in the U.S. Army
Medical Corps. He served out the war

in England, along with his four broth-
ers, who were also in active duty at that
time.
Upon his return, he opened a podiatry
office in Mt. Clemens, where he was an
active member of the medical com-
munity for more than 40 years until
his retirement in 1984. He started the
first residency program of podiatry at
Harrison Hospital, where he served as
chief of the department from 1970-1973.
He was an active member of Rotary and
the Masons.
Dr. Dresner had the most vibrant per-
sonality and a big heart. He was a won-
derful son to his parents, a good father,
brother, grandparent, uncle and a loyal
friend. He was a very devoted husband
to Millie, being happily married for 64
years and caring for her until she suc-
cumbed to Parkinson's disease in 2005.
He is survived by his children, Marcia
(Sheldon) Kabaker, Joanne (Jerome)
Dresner Linsner, and Steven (Dixie)
Dresner; his brother, Milton Dresner;
his adoring grandchildren, Theresa and
Julia Linsner, Noah, Gabriel and Lily
Dresner; many loving nieces and neph-
ews.
Dr. Dresner was the husband of the
late Mildred "Millie" Dresner.

CHARLES GALINSKY, 99, of West
Bloomfield, died Dec. 22, 2012.
He is survived by his son, Louis

ter and son-in-law, Elaine and Semion
Litvak of Boynton Beach, Fla.; daughter-
in-law, Marsha Galinsky; grandchildren,
Monica Lynn Galinsky, Alexandra Eve
Galinsky, Sydney Bryce Galinsky, Carrie
Sue Galinsky, Stephanie and Brian Less;
great-grandchildren, Mason, Jordan,
Samantha.
Mr. Galinsky was the beloved husband
of the late Jennie Galinsky; loving father
of the late Maurice Galinsky.

Southfield and Margate, Fla., passed
away Dec. 20, 2012.
He is survived by his beloved wife of
65 years, Betty; son, Denny; daughter,

loving family members and friends.
