wife of the late Irving "Hank"
Kempner; the cherished sister of
the late Louis Tanner, the late Max

Interment was at Clover Hill Park

IRVING KEYS, 96, of Rockville,
Md., passed away on Dec. 10, 2012.
He is survived by his loving and
adoring wife of 76 years, Beatrice
Keys; children, Marshall and Shirley
Keys, Stephen and Diane (Culik)
Keys, and Ronald Keys. Also loved
and honored by his grandchildren
and great-grandchildren, Rob
and Erica Land, Jake, Jenna and
Danielle, Lisa and Ted Gutman,
Tyler and Maya, Joshua Keys, Julie
and David Sipchen, Nora, Sarah,
Kate and Matthew.
Interment took place at Judean
Memorial Park in Olney, Md.
Contributions may be made to the
Hadassah Medical Organization.

NINA ESKENAZI MODIANO,

died peacefully on Dec. 15, 2012, at
Mount Sinai Hospital in Montreal.
She was the loving mother and
mother-in-law of Sonny and Suzy
Modiano of Detroit; adored grand-
mother of Jonathan Modiano and
Erin McLogan, Elissabeth and
Peter Brookes; treasured great-
grandmother of Benjamin, Noah
and Elliott.
She was the beloved wife of the
late Mario Modiano. Mrs. Modiano
was predeceased by her parents,
Albert and Rachel Eskenazi. She
was the sister and sister-in-law of
Beno and the late Goldie Eskenazi of
Montreal, Suzie and the late Maurice
Kanza, Rosie and Benjamin Mizrahi,
all of Istanbul; sister-in-law of Iko
and Esther Modiano She was a
cherished aunt and great-aunt to her
nieces, nephews and their children
in Montreal and in Istanbul.
Services took place at Paperman
& Sons in Montreal. Contributions
may be made to a charity of one's
choice.
