ESTHER PANTZER,
90, of Farmington Hills,
died Dec. 11, 2012.
She is survived by her
daughters and sons-in-
law, Karen and Bruce

Pantzer

Bloomfield, Rhona and Allan Anchill
of Farmington Hills; brother, Joseph
Goldberg of West Bloomfield; grandchil-
dren, Nancie (Lauren) Rakotz-Becker,
Adrienne (Jay) Honigstock, Jennifer (Dr.
Ryan) Barish, Denise (Jason) Charnas,
David Lazar, Laura (Dr. Brian) Markle;
great-grandchildren, Maxwell, Sarah,
Blake, Hannah, Reid and Seth; many lov-
ing nieces, nephews, other family mem-
bers and friends.
Mrs. Pantzer was the wife of the late
Irving Pantzer; the sister of the late Ruth
(the late Nelson) Hall, the late Irving (the
late Annette) Goldberg; sister-in-law of
the late Sara Goldberg.
Contributions may be made to the
Leukemia-Lymphoma Society or to a
charity of one's choice. Interment took
place at the Machpelah Cemetery in
Ferndale. Arrangements by Dorfman
Chapel.

SHIRLEY B. RAVET died peacefully, Nov.

24, 2012.
She was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., Jan.
11, 1930, and was married to Emanuel
(Manny) Ravet in Detroit on Jan. 15, 1950;
they were happily married for more than
60 years. Together they raised their family
in Oak Park and Franklin Village for 30
years prior to moving to La Jolla, Calif. She
was a tremendous philanthropist, chaired
many events, served on boards and sup-
ported charitable organizations through-
out the world. She was politically active
and immensely supportive of her commu-
nity, always giving with her time and love.
This brings an end to an important and
wonderful life filled with great love, style
and class.
Mrs. Ravet was the mother of Deborah
Hill, Gary Ravet, Lorey Baldwin and
Patty Raphaelson; grandmother of Laurel
Hill, Brandon and Stephen Ravet, Jillian
Baldwin and Bryan Raphaelson.
Contributions may be made to
American Technion Society, United Jewish
Federation or a charity of one's choice.

MARSHALL SHAFFER, 67, of San Diego,
Calif., died Dec. 10, 2012.
He is survived by his beloved wife,
Olena Maksymenko of San Diego; daugh-

ter, Stacie Ward; grandchildren, Brandi,
Melissa, Autumn; great-grandchild,
Brilyn; brother and sister-in-law, Eugene
and Vicky Shaffer of Novi; nephews,
Nathan Shaffer, Brian Shaffer; niece, Lisa
Goodman.
He was the son of the late Rose and the
late Ben Shaffer; brother of the late Burton
Shaffer.
Interment at El Camino Memorial Park
in San Diego.

EMANUEL "MANNY" LOUIS STEIN,

80, of Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of Detroit,
died Nov. 21, 2012.
He was born in Detroit on Nov. 11,
1932. He served in the U.S. Army during
the Korean War. He retired as a pharma-
cist after more than 50 years.
Mr. Stein is survived by his beloved wife
of 56 years, Judy; daughter, Marcy (Dr.
Steven Saxe); son, Larry Stein, all of Las
Vegas; grandchildren, Ryan, Brandon and
Carly; sisters-in-law, Sarah Neuman, Ethel
(Harold) Bobroff and Cindy Stein; numer-
ous loving nieces and nephews; many dear
friends in Michigan.
He was the son of the late Jacob and the
late Goldie Stein; son-in-law of the late
Nathan and the late Rose Bobroff; brother
of the late Alvin Stein, the late Evelyn and

the late Charlie Barenfeld; brother-in-
law of the late Sylvia and the late Morris
Bobroff, and the late Sy Neuman.
Interment was at King David Memorial
cemetery in Las Vegas. Contributions may
be made to a charity of one's choice.

DR. HARRY WEBER,
100, of Southfield, died

He is survived by

Dr. Weber was the beloved husband of
the late Golda Weber; the dear brother of
the late Al Weber and the late Sid Weber.
Private services were held at Clover
Hill Park Cemetery. Contributions may
