Woods, died Dec. 5, 2012.
She will be missed by all who knew and
loved her.
She is survived by her son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Paul Simon and Mimi Fox;
son-in-law, James Miller; daughter-in-law,
Barbara Simon; grandchildren, Nathan
Miller, David and Lindsay Miller, Alison
and Aaron Goldstein, and Joshua Simon;
great-grandchildren, Jordyn and Leah
Goldstein; brother and sister-in-law,
Robert and Gilda Silverman; nieces and
nephews, David and Hope Silverman,
Marshall and Bonnie Silverman, and
Marlene Loewy; cousins, Miriam and
Martin Dubner; stepdaughters, Jane
Barton and Susan Levenberg.
Mrs. Barton was the beloved wife of the
late Harry Barton; the cherished mother of
the late Arleen Miller and the late Steven
Simon; the devoted daughter of the late
Sally and the late Louis Silverman.
Interment was at New Montefiore
Cemetery in New York. Contributions may

Mrs. Borsand was the beloved wife of
the late Jack D. Borsand.

Fridson.

the initial funding for The Jewish Hospice & Chaplaincy Network. He took an active
interest in guiding the organization and enjoyed personal friendships and served as a
mentor to JHCN's Rabbi E.B. (Bunny)
Freedman and Rabbi David Nelson.
Art was one of the Jewish community's great patrons and a benefactor to many of
southeast Michigan's most important causes and institutions. He was respected and
beloved by his many friends and colleagues. His vision, leadership and generosity will
leave an indelible legacy for generations. His friendship and guidance to JHCN will
be
sorely missed
