JEWISH SENIOR LIFE PRESENTS THEIR ANNUAL
JEWISH COMMUNITY CHAPLAINCY TRAINING PROGRAM

TRAINING FOR NEW PARACHAPLAIN VOLUNTEERS

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 19TH 6:30 - 8:30 P.M.

The Jewish Community Chaplaincy Program provides religious, social, and cultural support and
programs for Jewish residents of non-Jewish care facilities throughout the tri-county area.

Volunteer Opportunities include, but are not limited to: Friendly visiting, which helps residents
know that they are not forgotten but are part of our world, Reminiscence Group participation,
Holiday Parcel Delivery, Facility Liaison, assisting with Oneg Shabbat services and other various
programs.

Topics for this evening will include: The A - Z's of Volunteering in the Chaplaincy Program with
special guest, Dr. Charles Silow, Director of the Program for Holocaust Survivors and Families,
discussing the psychological effects of aging on Holocaust survivors.

In addition , Carol Rosenberg, Director, Jewish Senior Life Foundation, will welcome us all and
discuss the importance and impact of the Parachaplaincy volunteer program in our community.

Complimentary Dinner will be provided - Dietary Laws observed

This program will be held at the Fleischman Residence/Blumberg Plaza,
