The concert benefits program- ming for the newly formed Yachad Detroit, the local branch of Yachad, the National Jewish Council for Disabilities, an international Lipa Jewish youth group Schmeltzer for individuals with special needs. The Chanukah with Lipa concert will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at the Berman Center for the Performing Arts in West Bloomfield. "Yachad is so special because it represents friendship on the truest level:' said Jeff Lazar, the organiza- tion's local director. "We work with a wide range of individuals with abili- ties that vary from low to high func- tioning.
